@A myRAteam Member, after I was diagnosed I was having crazy dreams at night too. I used to take Prednisone and Hydroxychloriquine but I've managed to get the RA under control so I now only take the Hyroxychloriquine. No one could every give me a valid reason as to why I was having such vivid dreams. It could have been the meds, or possibly just that the pain, stress and fear of the disease was preventing me from getting a good nights sleep. Since being diagnosed, I have completely changed the way I eat, I don't eat late at night and, oh yes - I have a glass of red wine every night! I exercise every day, try to stay positive and most nights I sleep like a baby. Every once in a while, I still get those vivid dreams but I can usually attribute it to something that's been weighing on my mind or maybe that I was having a bit of a flare that day. If you're dreams are preventing you from getting adequate rest, I would discuss it with your doctor. When lack of sleep becomes a problem for me I sometimes take a low dose of melatonin (over the counter vitamin) as a natural alternative to sleep aids, and it has helped. But definitely ask your doctor about it first.

I do!! Always had crazy dreams but now they have reached their peak!!!

I have also wondered this!!! I dream constantly and they're very vivid and ridiculous....I assume it's from my meds cause this never used to happen to me. I never have a dreamless night anymore and sometimes wake up suddenly believing that my dream was true and the only reason I can convince myself it wasn't are cold hard facts. I mean, if a giant spider was just about to eat me then where can it possibly be hiding??? Do other people in the world get eaten by giant spiders? Not that I've heard, so therefore this must have been a dream!
