If you could have your normal body without any disease? I would run with my kids or walk to the store...or go hiking. Stuff that I took for granted.

Members opened up about what they would do if freed from the physical limitations of their chronic illness, with the most common dreams being running, hiking, exercising without pain, cleaning their homes thoroughly, and spending quality time with children and grandchildren. Several members shared deeply personal losses, including giving up beloved activities like horseback riding, biking, yoga, church attendance, and careers they once thrived in, with many expressing grief over how their disease has repeatedly stolen life goals and forced constant readjustment of plans. A recurring theme was the resilience of finding new ways to enjoy life within their limitations, whether through adaptive horsemanship, saving energy for work, or simply holding onto gratitude for what remains possible, even as they mourned the active, pain-free lives they once took for granted.

No more pain and deformities! Run, ride horses, dance, craft, shear my goats and make yarn, crochet without crampy hands, sleep 8 hours at night, visit my friends, travel to name a few... LOL

I had planned on riding my horse every day when I retired and foster German Shorthair Pointers for a Rescue. I retired at 62 because my RA was making me exhausted. It was murder trying to be on my feet all day all week. I have had to change my plans as I deal with my RA day by day. I am so much better off then many others and I thank God every day. I have found other ways to play with the horses using Parrelli Natural Horsemanship on days I have to much pain or stiffness to ride. I used to show Dressage, but now I mostly putz around and do what I can. It still gets me horse time
