I'm flying next week and a little nervous about having to take my Kiniret with me. Anyone have advise for travel with a biologic that is in a syringe and has to stay cold?
Just bring your perscription with you. I put mine in one of those bags they use to keep baby bottles cold along with some ice packs. Not loose ice. And it was fine. I had no trouble. I just told them it was my low dose chemo meds for RA. They were very gracious and nice. Probably felt sorry for me. Lol
I travel quite often and use a travel pack that the pharma company gave me. I found that the little ice packs that you get for formula trial works well. I just put the whole pack in a tub next to my suitcase and it rolls right through. Never have a problem so far.
Call the airline and tell them. different airlines have different answers sometimes.
Sadly I've only been on a plane once in the last year and I was very lucky but before that it was absolute painful and the effects of riding in the plane usually last 2 to 3 days. It swells me up and makes it so uncomfortable I've been really blessed the last six or seven months to not have as bad of flare up as I used to I'm just hoping that Humira keeps me going
Thank you!
Is Hydroxychloroquine A Biologic Or Alpha Tnf Inhibitor?
Has Anyone Heard Or Know Anyone Taking 2 Different Biologicals At The Same Time?
