I will hopefully start Humira soon. I have a medrol dose pack but am not sure that a single joint flare justifies it. How do you know? I was feeling pretty good but my thumb just blew up......So strange!
I'm taking methotrexate & folic acid . My dr said if blood work still shows progression she wants to add enbrel shot 1x week to the methotrexate. So, we'll see. Keep us posted on your experience with humira.
I am on retuxin. I can’t take methotrexate. I take Plaquenil twice a day also
Hi Terri. Oh wow! How scary. I have been reading about how the biologics work. I wondered how vulnerable one is with the the immunosuppressive effect. Which biologic are you on? Do you also take methotrexate? I just took my first dose of Humira yesterday. Take care of yourself! Hope you feel better.
I was at my rheumatologist office Tuesday getting antibodies. I had the Covid vaccine, then I got Covid and double Covid pneumonia. When I took my infusion a couple of weeks ago it depleted all of my antibodies, so now we are trying to get those built back up
I had a shot of Depomedrol 100 mg but it's effect was limited. Not as miraculous as I expected. 🙁
