As much as the medicine cost you should call Embrel. I’m sure they will replace it.

Call the number on the box for the manufacturer they owe you a FREE replacement pen. Yes it happened with enbrel and kevzara each time the Rx was replaced free of charge.

You might consider calling Amgen Customer Support Line, the mfg of Enbrel. Typically, they will replace free of charge a faulty injector pen, a rare event, but nothing mechanical is perfect.
I’ve had some make weird swooshing noises upon activation, but always got the reassuring “click” ....and after counting to 10, the “yellow plastic” shows fully in the window...so de facto, that sweet Enbrel nectar has to be in my subcutaneous fascia...right where I like it to be!
