Methotrexate

Methotrexate

Can you stop using methotrexate for two weeks and resume safely?

Yes no problem. Alway take methotrexate on the same day of the week and if you miss take it the following week on the same day. Methotrexate remains in your system for 2 to 3 months. I used to be a blood donor and was told I could resume donating blood 3 months after I stopped taking the meds. Needless to say I'm no longer a blood donor

Yup. Best to stay on it (for maximal continued effectiveness), but discontinuing due to an infection, surgery, etc, happens all the time, and once that crises is over, than its back to hugging ur old friend MTX.❤️
