I had trigger finger about 20 years ago and had minor surgery to repair and then was fine. I always put it down to court reporting pounding on my fingers all day but looking back it may have been the start of my RA which never got diagnosed until four years ago.

Hi, I am new too. However, my journey began with what my ortho dx’d As “trigger finger.” My fingers did not “lock” (just pain, pain, pain) but that is the symptom of trigger fingers (google it?). Hope that helps a little 😁

Yes ,unfortunatly muscle spasms are a sign of severe RA. Now that I am getting treatment it has been less but still have joint damage.

I had the surgery too. Since mine was not true trigger finger, it messed me up. However, a co worker did have the locking, had the surgery and she did well also.
