What to do if being active is not possible?

What to do if being active is not possible?

Anyone out there who physically can't be active, including walking? What do you do? Yoga is too painful. No pools anywhere nearby for swim therapy. Even chair exercises are a no go as is standing and/or walking of any kind. I have RA, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue....as well as 3 kids under 4. I am at my wits end.

I completely understand,, I have many chronic pain health issues,, Ive been in daily pain since 1980 and now R.A.has been diagnosed,, I am progressively , rapidly losing mobility and the ability to be on my feet for any length of time,, what has saved me over the years, is daily stretching,, and now I have to stretch at least 5 or 6 times a day,, the best exercise for me has been pool therapy,, I just recently started that and its been a god send. I am so very sorry you are immobile,, especially with four little children. praying you will find something that will be beneficial.

17 years of RA and Fibro... Just seeing you say what your RA is controlled with... Let's me know... You haven't gotten to where most of us are in the progression of our disease... Prayers you never get there... You might need a place to vent occasionally... Sometimes hearing others struggles helps you feel you are not alone and someone else besides you ... Struggle...

How about isometric exercises? Just tense groups of muscles (start with a count of 5) and then relax, slowly one can build up all the areas of your body. It is not the be all and end all of exercises, but it does mean that you are strengthening all your muscles. Worth a try. Vera

I went on Pinterest and found some exercises that are actually designed for the bed. I totally agree with you about stretching in the morning
